What is an "E" ticket?

E-tickets, are offered by many major airlines, and allow you to travel without a paper ticket, eliminating the worry of leaving your tickets behind. MeezaTravel offers e-tickets .

Bring government issued photo identification (such as a driver’s license or passport) to the airport. E-ticketed passengers must have a printed boarding pass in order to proceed directly through security for check in at the gate. Customers with check-in baggage or E-tickets who do not have printed boarding passes must go to the ticket counter prior to going through security checkpoints.

How do I change my flights?

We have negotiated many different types of agreements with different airlines; thus, the rules and restrictions for exchanges and cancellations vary greatly if allowed at all. When allowed, airlines require that we collect a fee for the exchange plus any difference in fare when necessary. Exchange fees start at $125 USD and go as high as $350 USD. Your exchange agent can tell you when you call.

We must insist, however, that you do not book an itinerary for the exchange. Please keep in mind that all exchanges must be on itineraries provided by the same airline that issued the original ticket. In some cases, the airline may restrict or deny exchanges requested with as few as seven days before departure.

Do I need a visa or any specific vaccinations to visit a particular destination?

Upon confirming your travel itinerary, we will provide information regarding entry visas and recommended required vaccinations for the destinations included during your travels.

If you’d like to look into this information right away, please reference the US Department of State website as it is the best resource to stay up to date on entry visa requirements, as well as travel advisories, messages from the embassy, etc. When navigating to this page, enter the destination you plan to visit on the left hand side under “Learn about your destination”.

For information regarding recommended and required vaccines, please reference the CDC Travelers’ Health Branch’s advice for international travelers. When navigating to this page, select your destination under the drop down menu below “For Travelers”.

Why should I purchase travel insurance?

A: We highly recommend our clients to consider purchasing Travel Insurance. Travel insurance is a plan that you purchase to help protect you from certain financial risks and as well as medical coverage for unplanned situations that could occur while traveling. These things can be minor, like a delayed suitcase, or significant, like a last-minute trip cancellation or a medical emergency, while traveling. The cost of your policy is based off of your age and the total price of your vacation.

Can you work within a certain budget?

Yes, we work within any and all realistic budgets, and an honest sharing of ideas and goals helps us immensely when making recommendations and suggested edits to travel plans.

INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Taking an international trip? There are some important travel documents you may need to bring along.

PASSPORTS

Government-issued passports come in 2 forms:

  • Passbook: This works for all international travel
  • Passport card: This only works for travel by land or sea between the US, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda

Pro tip: The US State Department recommends your passport be valid for at least 6 months past your actual travel date (or 3 months for certain countries). Be sure to double-check the expiration date ahead of time!

VISAS

A travel visa lets you enter and depart a specific country. You may need to get separate visas for each individual port or connection on your itinerary. Some countries don’t require one at all, but it’s important to always check in advance.

CUSTOMS REQUIREMENTS

Traveling to another country? It’s important to bring along a few important documents to make sure you get through customs without hassle. Customs agents may ask to see the following:

  • A valid passport, or other proof of citizenship like a government-issued photo ID and birth certificate with raised seal.
  • A travel visa, if the country you’re visiting requires one.
  • A completed customs declaration form. You may receive the form while traveling, or when you arrive. Just fill it out – it only takes a few minutes!
